Course Description

Why do successful organizations like Target, Home Depot and Starbucks fail when delivering on strategy? What are some of the traps leaders fall into when making big decisions? This seminar style course will introduce formal critical thinking skills to a rotating industry setting. Professionals can claim up to 6 hours of verifiable professional development.

Learner Outcomes

Participants will explore deductive and inductive reasoning, fallacies of adequacy and relevance, and common argument weaknesses as they study organizational missteps and successes.

Notes

This seminar combines two, half-day, in-person sessions and high quality online modules to ensure engagement and active learning. Learners will include Dhillon School of Business students, working professionals and community members for a diverse and dynamic experience. All other learning activity will be completed virtually.
